Violating the ordered ecosystem makes for inevitable disaster.
All of biodiversity submits to preeminent power of pre-set order. I love the use of the simile that plays out in “Inspired Evidence”, a book on Nature by Julie Von Vett and Bruce Malone. They say that the biological world is like a musician who combines the notes in countless numbers of different harmonies. But the musician can only make harmonies using notes that are available for that particular piece/concerto (in this case; life-form). The number of possible variations is restricted by the number of notes available. In like manner, the variety produced in a given ‘kind’ is limited by the number of possible combination of genes available. The study of Genetics has shown this to be true.
Approximately 200,000 different proteins make up the majority of the structures within the human body. Biologically useful proteins don’t exist in Nature unless DNA makes them. Whereas, DNA cannot be made, or unzipped, without these proteins.
